Greetings. Greetings my friends. How are you today? We are alive despite the circumstances of life. God be praised.
If you have listened to the last episode of "The Trumpet Song: Hope to Victory," I invite you to the second part and also to listen to the end. You can also pass this on to somebody who might need a bit of encouragement because in this day and age, we need just a little bit of encouragement. Everybody needs a bit of encouragement. And so I invite you to listen to the end. Be blessed.
This episode speaks to encourage you that even when you're going through your night season, that daybreak will come and not to go backward but press forward despite how it seems. Continue listening and be blessed.
Understanding Life's Seasons
I would like to continue from where I left off to just encourage you - to encourage somebody - to know that there is a season. There's a season for everything, just as how you have night and day, and we know that in the night it is dark without us putting on the light.
So whatever your season may be, maybe you're going through your night season. It looks so dark. It looks so gloomy, but there is daybreak. Wait for your morning.
Yes, you may be tossing through the night. You can't sleep because you're thinking so many things. Your mind is all bugged up with maybe the events of the day, maybe thinking on your loved ones who have passed. But today, I just want to encourage you as the songwriter says:
"Forward still. It's Jehovah's will. Though the billers dash and spray, for with a conquering tread we will push ahead."
And it's not by our strength. It's not by your strength. It's through the word of God. It's through fasting and praying, reaching out to God for help.
Finding True Comfort
Because there are so many things that are out there for short-term relief or release. But the word of God is a perfect comfort. The Holy Spirit is a perfect comfort. And the same word of God points us in the right directions.
Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
So even here in Ecclesiastes, from the English Standard Version, I'm just going to read from verse one:
"For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven:
- A time to be born and a time to die.
- A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted. (verse 2-3)
- A time to kill and a time to heal.
- A time to break down and a time to build up.
- A time to weep and a time to laugh. (verse 4)
- A time to mourn and a time to dance.
- A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together. (verse 5)
- A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.
- A time to seek and a time to lose. (verse 6)
- A time to keep and a time to cast away.
- A time to tear and a time to sow. (verse 7)
- A time to keep silence and a time to speak.
- A time to love and a time to hate.
- A time for war and a time for peace." (verse 8)
Solomon's Wisdom
Here the writer Solomon is pointing out - Solomon is considered the wisest man. That's what I have been told. That was what we have heard, that Solomon was the wisest man. Anyway, if we read through his scriptures, his writings, he has some very good words of wisdom.
And these words that I just read from Ecclesiastes 3, from 1 to 8, they explain themselves, right?
Practical Examples of Life's Seasons
So you know, sometimes people talk about baby booms - the children just being born. You have a lot of babies being born, and then all of a sudden there's another time when you have people just dying. So it's a time.
And then you have the season where you plant, and after that season is done and the fruits come for harvest, that's the time when you harvest and pluck up. Now, that one is the harvest one. But then you have the time when you're going to prepare the field for another planting. So you have to pluck up the weeds and all of that.
Then you have the time to heal. There's so many things happening. There's one time when there are so many killings and what young people just cannot - and we cannot understand what is happening. It's all here in the scriptures, and that is why I know that the scriptures are real.
Seasons of Emotion
And there's a time to weep. There are sometimes in our lives where we - there are moments - the matters allow us, cause us - not allow, cause us - to weep, to cry. And there's another time there's just joy. You know, there's just joy. There's a time when we might not physically dance, but in ourselves we're just happy, we're just joyful.
And there's a time - in other words, there's a time for everything. And so whatever season, whatever you're going through, it's a season. Just tell yourself that this too will pass.
Personal Encouragement
That's how I encourage myself, because sometimes life throws some - will give us some real battering. Some real battering. And you wonder and you think to yourself, "Why? Why? Why? Why is this happening? Why is this happening?" You know.
But we are living in a generation of all sorts happening. And somebody says that when you think before it gets better, it gets worse. But we have to, despite the hostility around us, we have to maintain a positive mind. And to maintain a positive mind, you have to have positive thinking. Guard your mind with healthy thoughts.
Finding Spiritual Resources
I love to read the scriptures, and it's not every time you gravitate to the scriptures because the mind is so bugged up, but YouTube has a lot of songs that are very inspiring - gospel songs that actually speak to the soul and the mind - and we can always go to them.
Don't even look at the rubbish that's going on. You need healing for the mind to give you peace, to give you peace of mind as you go through. It could be, as I said earlier, about your night season.
The Midnight Hour
Sometimes in the midnight hour, it could be your midnight hour, you know, and it will cause you to be overwhelmed at times. But remember that there is the breaking of the day. Anticipate that daylight. Morning will come. Your morning will come.
Final Encouragement
Just hold fast. Do not give up. Do not give up. Just rest in God. Talk to him. Ask him to help you. Ask him to guide you. Ask him to sustain you. Give him all your concerns. Give him all your concerns. Talk to him like how you talk to your friend.
Hallelujah. He's a friend in need and he's a friend indeed.
And may you be blessed as you continue your journey, as you stand, as you stand and be counted, as you stand firm and not be swayed by what's going on around you. Just be encouraged and go forward - not backward. Go forward, trusting the Lord, for he is more than able.
God bless you.
Closing Blessing
Remember: You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Be blessed.
