Greetings, my friends! How are you today? We are alive despite the circumstances of life. God be praised!
Today, I want to bring something to your attention. Have you ever sat down to meditate or reflect? Today was one of those days for me. My mind wandered back to a trip I took this year to Ghana. Now, I’m not someone who likes to take pictures of myself, but when something interesting catches my eye, I like to capture it.
While on this trip, I found myself pondering the wonders of God. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect. Look up at the sky, observe the sunshine, and notice how the weather changes. For those living in places with distinct seasons, you might see leaves falling or feel the shift from rain to sunshine to wind. No scientist can take credit for these phenomena; they are the wonders of God's creation.
For those who travel by airplane, I challenge you: take a peek through the window. When you’re up there, you realize that while pilots and flight attendants are important, it’s a higher power that holds the aircraft aloft. During turbulence, despite the skill of the pilots, there is still a divine presence watching over us.
On my flight, as we took off and flew over London, I marveled at the beauty below. When we reached cruising altitude and night fell, I was still in awe of God’s wonders. This experience reminded me of Psalm 19:1-2 (KJV): “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.”
The heavens, the stars, the moon—they all reflect God's majesty, especially when viewed from above. From the ground, we often miss the fullness of His creation. As I gazed out from the plane, I realized that no earthly being can replicate the wonders of God.
Even in darkness, there is still light shining through. As we traveled, I took pictures and meditated on the goodness of God. No wonder the psalmist said, “Oh, that men would know Him and the power of His resurrection.” We should praise Him for His marvelous acts.
Let us not take the privileges we have for granted, whether big or small. The wonders of God are evident, shining through even the darkest moments. When we encounter turbulence, we may feel fear, but those who know God will rest in His control, praying for His protection.
Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Be blessed!
